Bit Defender is one of the best security softwares you can get, it ranks over Kaspersky and NOD32 and is the best in my opinion because of it's constant updating and great heuristics.

Bit Defender is in general a much better and cheaper solution then most, but right now with their Christmas special it's something you can't miss out on!
You can find out more on the deals here http://www.bitdefender.com/2008/Promoti ... geoldmanv1
And for a decently detailed side to side view of feature comparison, go here http://www.bitdefender.com/site/view/an ... rison.html

Tip: Don't buy the Internet Security or the Total Security, buy the antivirus. Main reasons being is that, first, the antivirus is cheaper, second, it has all the same detecting, removing and updating capabilities as the IS and TS, that means it detects spyware, viruses and rootkits. Third, you don't need that junk firewall and parental guard, your much better off using a stand alone firewall like Comodo.
So, with the antivirus you have eliminated your virus threats, your spyware threats and your rootkit threats. To fix your firewall problem download Comodo here http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/

If your still feeling like you need a few more walls to the castle, use the money you saved by buying only the antivirus to buy Spy Sweeper or Counter Spy, those are the two best antispyware solutions on the market.
But, Spy Sweeper, it's rated #1 by most, but I recommend Counter Spy because Spy Sweeper has allot of errors, bugs, blue screen of death. Counter Spy looks better, too. :p

So what are you waiting for? Get your copy of Bit Defender!
The best part is, one license is for 3 computers! :D
$23.96 for 3 licenses for one year! :D

It is one of the bigger players firewall wise. For private use though.
There was one firewall not too long back, Sygate, it was the best of the best. Unfortunately, Symantec, the idiotic company who make Norton bought it and stopped updating it.

For Enterprises and large Businesses there are MUCH better firewalls then Comodo. :)

But Comodo does have it's own faults, it uses more CPU usage then other firewalls.

I personally use Kerio :D
It's as good if not better then Comodo and it's much more lighter on the usage. :p
